Pure Love

I love my life. I love how on some mornings I wake up and information like this floods my heart and mind. This is my soul speaking to me with Pure Love. =)

Our souls, those individual aspects of Source, reside in our heart centers. When we communicate with each other and ourselves from our souls, we are coming directly from our heart center and the communication is pure. Loving ourselves purely is acknowledging our oneness with Source. Loving others purely is acknowledging their oneness with Source and with us. Pure Love is not the emotion we think and believe it is. It is beyond that emotion that we normally call “love”. It is the very nature of all that is.

Pure Love = Open Heart

We use the term, “His/Her heart is open”. What that really means is that that person is allowing pure communication to flow through them. They are not allowing any emotion to stop the natural flow from taking place. Their communication paths are open and receptive. They understand that to have pure communication you have to let go of all detachment to any emotional state. Studies have shown that all vibrational communication is first “understood” by the heart. Then it is transmitted to the brain and then the rest of the body. This happens within nanoseconds. Pure Love is our natural state of being, but we cloud it with emotions and don’t allow ourselves to receive the real communication in full. This is not to say that you should not have emotions. This is to say that if you understand that what you are usually feeling is just an emotion, you can consciously set that emotion aside and allow the real communication to flow through you.

Our emotions show us how much we are either restricting or allowing this flow to take place. Because our natural state is one of flow and open hearted communication, when we are not allowing that, we don’t “feel” good. We have the myriad of “negative” and “bad” feelings. That is just us telling ourselves we are not allowing the Pure Love to flow. Fear is the basis of all the “negative” emotions. That fear is the fear of loss. In particular the fear of losing this soul communication. We interpret this as losing our lives, and in a sense it is losing your life. If you are no longer connected and communicating with your soul, then you really have no life force flowing through you, and you are, in fact, physically dying.

Every experience we have is just that. An experience. Each one is singular and unique. No two are exactly the same. How we view, relate and react to each experience determines how we feel about it and the emotions we associate with that experience. By looking at each experience with Pure Love and warm compassion, we see how we’ve learned, grown and became more because of the experience. This allows us to then have appreciation and gratitude for the experience. Through this, we can begin to change how we feel about each experience. We can begin to let go of any “negative” emotions around each one, and thereby feel better about our entire lives. Remember this: Everything is an experience. Each moment of our lives is an experience. By changing how you feel about the previous experiences, you allow yourself to bring to you better experiences, without any dread or fear or doubt.

This is why I created the second Advanced Grounding Technique in which you ground out any negative emotion from the mental image pictures we “see” in our minds eye when we think of any past experience. By using this process, you are beginning to come from Pure Love, and allowing that energy and communication to flow easily and naturally. Along with the grounding technique, here is an affirmation that will help you to further allow this flow:

“The Pure Love of Source Energy flows through every aspect of my being. Clearing and cleansing, rejuvenating and refreshing, enlivening and enriching, empowering me in all ways.”

This is one of the areas that I help my Energy Healing clients with clearing, so that the pure communication can flow cleanly and easily. This is a major part of the miracle of self healing. The difference in the way you will feel, on all levels, when you begin to allow Pure Love to flow through you by using the grounding techniques and the affirmation in conjunction with daily meditation, will astound you. You will have a feeling of well being and serenity far beyond what you’ve previously experienced. You will begin to have much clearer and better communication not only with yourself, but with everyone else and all of life. You will open yourself up to having purer and more beautiful energy flow to you, from every direction. Your life will become wondrous and amazing. =)

I wish you all many Bright Blessings and Pure Love,

Ring Out, Solstice Bells by Jethro Tull

Now is the solstice of the year.
winter is the glad song that you hear.
Seven maids move in seven time.
Have the lads up ready in a line.

Ring out these bells.
Ring out, ring solstice bells.
Ring solstice bells.

Join together ‘neath the mistletoe,
by the holy oak whereon it grows.
Seven druids dance in seven time.
Sing the song the bells call, loudly chiming.

Ring out these bells.
Ring out, ring solstice bells.
Ring solstice bells.

Praise be to the distant sister sun,
joyful as the silver planets run.
Seven maids move in seven time.
Sing the song the bells call, loudly chiming.

Ring out these bells.
Ring out, ring solstice bells.
Ring solstice bells.
Ring on, ring out.
Ring on, ring out.

Welcome to the Second Level: Part 2

In this second part, I want to talk with you about the duality of the two main emotions of this life.

Love and Fear.

These two emotions are the driving force behind everything that we do in this existence. Being emotion based entities living in a duality based system, we have to deal with these two in every aspect of our lives. I call these the “main emotions” because all other emotions spring from them. There is not a single positive emotion that does not come from Love and conversely, there is not a single negative emotion that does not come from Fear.

Think about it. If you examine all emotions and go down to their essence, you’ll find one of these main emotions at it’s core. This may sound simplistic, but by simplifying our emotions down to their core, they actually become easier to deal with. So what is the core of these main emotions? Let’s take a look…

The Core Of Fear

Fear. The morass from which all negative emotions emerge. The main emotion that when we experience it brings us emptiness. Destroys us. Drags us down into the deepest pits of hell. When you think of Fear, what comes up for you? The fear you have for the safety of yourself and those around you? Anger, Rage, Depression?  What do you feel when you feel Fear? What is the truth behind that feeling? If you allow yourself to fully delve into the emotion, no matter what triggered it, you’ll find one thing.

Loss.

Separation.

Fragmentation.

It is this belief in Loss that causes all Fear.

As I explained in my Staying Grounded post, Fear creates inside of us the feeling that we are dying. This is the ultimate loss. The loss of our life. Even though we may be afraid of relatively and comparatively simple things, such as whether or not we’ll be late for an appointment, it still feels like death and dying to our basic selves. Fear causes us to also lose perspective. Without perspective, our rational minds go right out the window.

Frank Herbert, in his epic work Dune, said it best when he wrote the Litany Against Fear, part of which states: “Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.” I have yet to hear it said better. Fear does indeed kill our minds and way too often actually leads to death. So how do we deal with this fear? How do we look it in the eye and disregard the message it’s sending to us?

Letting Go Of Fear

One way to remove fear from your life is to first remember the main acronym associated with FEAR:

False Evidence Appearing Real

Basically this asks you to remember that 99.9% of the fear we experience is not real. Our lives are not in danger, but we are perceiving them as such. Look directly at what is causing you to feel this fear and ask yourself two things. First, are you in real danger? Probably not, so your life is not really being threatened. The second question, and in my mind the more important of the two as it will help you to get straight to the truth, is to ask yourself what are you losing? You’re feeling afraid, so you must feel like you are losing something. Once you ask yourself that and can answer it honestly, you’ll see that 100% of the time, you are “losing” nothing. That’s the false evidence appearing real.

In my experience, people only feel fear because they have a belief in their separateness from the Source of all things. Label it however you will, the fact remains that if you believe you’re separate from this source, you also have a belief in fear. If you are not separate and feel only oneness, then there is no room or capacity for fear in your life, because there is nothing you can lose.

There are any number of things you can do to keep fear out of your life. You can recite the complete Litany Against Fear:

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

You can understand that the fear is not real and move it out of your body and energy and have it go down your grounding cord. You can be completely honest with yourself. This helps tremendously, as there is no falsehood in you. If there’s nothing false, then you can look at outside “appearances”  much more cleanly and see them for what they really are. Meditating is another excellent way of clearing this emotion. You have probably been introduced to other ways of releasing and letting go of fear. Incorporate those that work for you and that you feel comfortable doing.

Lastly, remember that all “low energy” or “negative” emotions are varying degrees of fear of loss. By looking at your emotions as neutrally as possible and asking yourself why you’re feeling this way, you can start to let go of the fear and to let go of the rest of the negative emotions, especially when you see that they do not serve you at all.

The Core Of Love

Love. The fount from whence all positive emotions flow. The main emotion that when we experience it fills us. Enlightens us. Lifts us to heights barely imaginable. When you think of Love, what comes up for you? The love you have for your mate? Your child? Your family? A pet? Happiness, Joy, Contentment? Peace, Abundance, Self-Fulfillment? What do you feel when you feel Love? What is the truth behind that feeling? If you allow yourself to fully delve into the emotion, no matter what triggered it, you’ll find one thing.

Oneness.

Connectedness.

Wholeness.

It is this Oneness that we seek at every level of our being.

Filling Ourselves With Love

When we come from Oneness to Source, all things are possible. Knowing and truly believing that we are completely a part of all that is, gives us the connection and wholeness we crave. Again, meditating, staying grounded and being honest with ourselves, are great ways to help keep the positive emotions and energy flowing. Being grateful, expressing that gratitude, and giving thanks for what you are and where you find yourself definitely keeps the love vibe going strong. It’s impossible to feel anything but love when you are expressing your gratitude and thanks.

The quote “Laughter is the best medicine” is absolutely true. When you are laughing, most of the time, it’s because you are enjoying life and you are expressing that enjoyment. There is no room for fear or any negative emotions while laughing. Laughter pre-dates language and is another way that we relate, share and understand our Oneness with each other and this world.

Listening to music that inspires us and gives us those good feelings is another excellent way to change your mood to one of love and compassion. The same is true for watching movies or tv shows that uplift us, and shows us positive imagery.

Go out into the natural world as often as you can. Look around you. At the trees, the grass, the sky, the stars at night, the sand at a lake or beach, the water, the animals. Be calm and still and feel the energy surrounding you. By being in Nature, feeling and sensing the vastness, timelessness and abundance, you immediately start to feel that Oneness. You can start to feel the connection to all things.

I’m certain that you either have or can create many other ways to find and fill yourself with the energy of Love. Be sure to take time each day to feel it and appreciate it. The more you do so, the less any negative emotion will be able to hold sway over you. The more you will enjoy this life and everything in it. The Lakota people say in their language, Mitakuye Oyasin! which means “we are all related”, and so it is.

Brightest Blessings!

Balancing the Spiritual and the Physical: A Beginning Guide

One thing that I have found while working with my healing clients over the years, is the similarity of experiences that each of us goes through when we discover metaphysics and start looking at our own inner spirituality for the first time. Most people begin to feel like “reality” is slipping away. There’s a sensation of moving between worlds. Often times, people get completely ungrounded which in turn causes them to lose touch with their physical selves. Then comes the time when each persons “spiritual journey” or “reason for being” comes into focus, and the sensation can become very surreal.

Coping with fundamentals such as breathing and “remembering” our day-to-day necessities while balancing between these apparently divergent experiences until each of us can blend them together appears to be quite the accomplishment. One thing that I see occurring often is people tend to want to stay with the new, spiritual experience because of the feelings of lightness, oneness and rightness that are felt in that state. The “Everyday World” seems heavy, dull and much less important. I’ve watched people at times ignore even some of the most basic of necessities because of the “bliss” that they are feeling.

The Spiritual Path feels like walking amongst the clouds. You can allow yourself to be totally in awe of spirituality. And because of its alluring influence, it is easy to understand why we prefer to be there. Unfortunately, this can lead to disaster if you are not properly grounded. The two must be held in balance for anything to get accomplished and for us to progress on both paths.

The following are just a few methods that will help you to maintain your integrity and balance while fulfilling your goals, both mundane and spiritual:

Maintain Your Money.

My friend Stuart Wilde used to say, “You can meditate all day on top of the mountain, but you have to come down into the “market place” to interact with others to create wealth.” If you depend strictly on spirit to “do for you”, you tend to stop taking the required actions to produce income and sooner than later, the money’s gone. It’s like I used to tell people when I worked in the Casino business: “You can’t win if you don’t bet!” You simply have to put yourself in the places and situations where you can create the money you need, first of all to survive, and then second of all, to be able to continue having these wonderful spiritual experiences. Going to metaphysical sites, or seminars or getting the books you want require money, so make sure you have what you need and then get more so that you can get what you want as well.

The other reason for wanting to maintain your balance in the “market place” and with your money is that then you attract the people who can help you, and they will show up at the right place and time. It’s amazing how many people believe that since they’ve found their “path”, that the money they need will simply find them. While this does happen on occasion, it is definitely not the norm. That said you will find that it’s a lot easier to manifest what you need, as long as you maintain the actions required. This is, as we were taught at Berkeley Psychic Institute, known as a “Growth Period.” This means it will take lots of action, both mentally and spiritually, to remain focused and present. This leads right into the next method, which is…

Goal Setting.

As I just said, creating what we need and want requires action. Getting lost in the joy and oneness of our spiritual path, it’s easy to lose focus and to set aside the actions needed to accomplish our goals. You want to complete each action with as much positivity and willingness as possible. Richard Bach, in his beautiful novel “Illusions” said it this way. “The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work”. This is what I mean about being “willing”. You have to be willing to set your goals down. You have to be willing to change them as necessary. You have to be willing, most importantly of all, to follow them. Life seems to be a little (or a lot) on the rough and tumble side? Then ask “source energy” or the “God Force”, or (insert the ‘deity’ of your choice) to make it easier. Ask that your steps be made lighter.

My favorite phrase to use in situations like this is to say [Your Goal You Want Completed] “Quickly, Cleanly and Easily”. Now, you have to be awake and aware and open to the possibilities that “source” may bring to you. It may not look like what you envisioned at first, but that doesn’t mean it’s not just the thing you need to complete the goal. Allow it to be for your highest and best, and watch as the “infinite wisdom” sends you the answers you need.

Allow Yourself To Receive.

You have to be able to give to yourself. If you can’t allow yourself to have, or give to yourself freely, then that energy you are putting out will keep you from attracting anything you want. None of your goals will get finished or accomplished if you don’t feel you “deserve” the finished product. I have found many people have a misconception about spirituality and money. They think that money is not spiritual, and therefore they shun it and considered it beneath them. Well, if we lived in a society where money was not the means of exchange, then I might agree with them, however… Remember, that’s all money is. A means of energy exchange. My cash in exchange for your product or service. We need it to survive. We need it to thrive! It’s perfectly ok to give to yourself, and it’s perfectly ok to allow yourself to have ANYTHING YOU WANT! You have my, and the universes, permission on that. 😉

One of the best ways I’ve found to help people with receiving issues is for them to give to others. By giving to others, either monetarily or with their time and talent, they see first hand how others receiving their gifts are better for it. In turn, those people give to others and so on. The energy must flow continuously. If you refuse to accept it, it will simply by-pass you completely. This goes for accepting money for services rendered. Many of my fellow healers and psychics have been caught up in the idea that they should not charge for what they do. By doing that, they are, unconsciously, stopping the flow. There has to be an energy exchange. Before the advent of money, people bartered for what they needed. So what’s different now? Nothing. On an energy level, it’s exactly the same, we’re just using a different object to barter with. This level of energy bring us to…

Taking Care Of Yourself and Others.

By taking care of your family, your pets, others in your life and yourself, you put out the energy of helpfulness, confidence and trust. Believe me, this energy gets returned to you many-fold. What’s the best way to take care of yourself and those around you? With Love. Love yourself. Love your family and friends. Love who you are and who they are. Love is by far the most powerful feeling/emotion/expression/energy there is. When you express Love, negativity and fear cannot stand against it. When you are using the energy of Love, you are taking care of yourself and everyone else with the highest vibration possible. From that energy, all things are possible. Along with this energy/emotion, include physical activity to maintain your body in good form.

To really have fun with this, feel the Love energy flow through you as you perform whatever activity you’ve chosen. Imagine feeling Love and gratitude while mowing the lawn, doing the dishes, playing a game of basketball or any other sport. Feel the Joy of the activity and how your body responds positively when you feel positive and joyful. Chores will never be dull and boring again! You will find renewed physical energy when you are coming from Love. Everyday projects become fun and inspiring. Your creativity will increase dramatically, because you are not coming from drudgery, resistance and fear. An added benefit I’ve seen many times over is that the “work” gets done much faster and much more efficiently. You also feel better before, during and after. This is a great way of taking care of yourself.

I hope you have found these methods helpful in creating a more spiritual, yet grounded life. Be sure to read my article on Grounding to get the technique for that down, and don’t hesitate to ask me any questions you may have in the comment section.

Blessed Be!
